Andrew graduated from La Trobe University in 1991 after having completed his BSc (Hons) in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He spent the next 4 years applying his knowledge in medical research at the Dept of Clinical Immunology, St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne after which he joined the Life Science industry to fulfil his passion for providing solutions to the scientific community in Australia. Andrew commenced his career as a technical sales person for Life technologies (GIBCO/BRL) and became recognised for his ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions in a timely manner. After Life Technologies, Andrew moved into management roles with Applied Biosystems and Illumina where he developed a passion for the emerging area of Genomics. It was this passion that led to the establishment of Custom Science Pty Ltd and allow Andrew the opportunity to introduce niche and novel technologies to the scientific community of Australia.
