Founded in 1883, AGC Techno Glass is Japan’s first private glass manufacturer with a history going back over 130 years.

Our mission at AGC Techno Glass is manufacturing and development in the area of special glass for the AGC Group.
We have been manufacturing special glass products for a period spanning over 130 year sever since our foundation in 1883. Manufacturing heat-resistant glass tableware and light bulbs in the 60s, television and display components in the 80s and a range of electronic components in the field of image recognition, including cameras today, AGC Techno Glass has continued to expand its business activities in tune with the times. Harnessing the extensive range of melting, processing and deposition technologies we have cultivated over our long history and more importantly, our ability to adapt to change in the business environment, we will continue to contribute towards the development of a sustainable society.

We launched the sale of plastic products for tissue cultures under the IWAKI brand in 1994. Under stringent quality control measures at our domestic plants, we manufacture a range of plastic products for tissue cultures from material procurement, production and inspection and deliver them to researchers all around the world. We are contributing to the development of life sciences all around the world with a range of high quality tissue culture products.
