In 1980, Yamato entered the USA market under the corporate name of a leading US scientific instrument distributor. Our reliable and up-front engineering earned immediate respect. Yamato was the first manufacturer to introduce a microprocessor temperature control with self-diagnostic features in our thermo processing equipment for the USA market.
Yamato Scientific America was formed in 1982, to provide general laboratory equipment to the US market including incubators, muffle furnaces, water baths, rotary evaporators, sterilizers, stirrers and spray dryers. The company has further diversified product lines tailored to semi-conductor and biotechnology fields. As of February 2006, Yamato Scientific America, relocated to the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara, California, with the focus to expand and support a wide spectrum of bioscience related business and academic activities.
